Don Nasca, calls out to all American’s who want to do something to
rebuild America and to earn their fair share of the wealth created in
the process.
I disagree with today's hyper-capitalism and I disagree with the way the public sector and larger nonprofit organizations lose site of the people they serve. Tall hierarchies of disconnected departments create wasteful bureaucracies full of self-serving politicians. The gap between the top leaders and the working masses is so vast that there is no hope for either side to ever understand the other.
The corporate customer, the government tax payer, and the charitable donor provide the funding and hope for the best. The assumption being that the leaders of our large and powerful organizations will be ethical, accountable, and responsible for ensuring organizational objectives are achieved and all stakeholders share in the value created.
Our current economic condition is the obvious result of our acceptance of the dysfunctional concept that "bigger is better." The tiny sound bites of information we are given as an explanation all come from the people who created the mess in the first place. The solutions we are given is to pour more fuel on the fire and attempt to bail out all the failed organizations and let them continue to be managed in the same manner by the same people.
The result is millions of our fellow American brothers and sisters having their holiday season without a source of income. As such, one upside is that many entrepreneurs will be born by force. The golden handcuffs of the weekly paycheck are no longer holding them to the old routine. Depending on the individual, either the creative juices start flowing or depression and anxiety take over. I have been through this cycle three times now and I have worked my entire life trying to create sources of revenue that are not based on the whims of a system that I have absolutely no control over.
Recently, I happened to come across a presentation done at Google by a group of social capitalists and social entrepreneurs. This drove me to develop a first of it's kind internet based charitable organization dedicated to teaching others how to become self-reliant and less dependent on large corporations.
I am very proud to see this actually coming together now and I hope others will join me in creating a network of websites that inspire those creative juices, crush those feelings of depression and anxiety, and generate a source of income that can never be taken away by somebody who lives in a mansion and doesn't even know your name.
Soon this site will be fully operational. The intention of this site is to promote the coming new service where you can launch your own micro-organization and be on your way to a better tomorrow.
