Funding

ThePortalUSA.org will be focused on the educational, literary, scientific, and charitable purposes intended for nonprofit corporations to focus on. The revenue generated to run our nonprofit operations will come from:

  • Grants
  • Donations
  • Membership dues
  • Set-up fees
  • Sales of mission related publications and promotional items
  • Tickets to seminars and workshops
  • Site space rental fees
  • Royalties paid for the use of our logo and intellectual property.

We will not be involved in the selling of products and services that are not directly related to the advancement of the organization’s tax-exempt mission. Our volunteers and members will not be paid for their time and effort to contribute content to their website.

However, each site manager will have the option to sell mission related products and services to generate an income stream from the visitors and supporters of their site.

The entire business of selling products and services, selling ad space on our sites, hiring and paying subcontracted site managers will be managed by contracted third-party organization chosen by the Board of Directors. Each board member is required to sign a conflict of interest statement to ensure complete fairness in all dealings with all outside entities.
