Our organization will be built in three phases.
Phase one will be focused on the technical development and graphical design of the main portal site and a small network of preliminary interconnected sites. We have written a complete technical specification and have discussed its construction with scores of internet consultants, programmers, and designers. We decided in-favor of leveraging the well-known, open source content management system called Drupal. We estimate we will need six to nine months to develop a fully functional beta test site and network with approximately ten interconnected websites.
Phase two will be a 90 day period of intense testing, bug fixing, and feature adjustments with thirty to fifty volunteer managed sites. We will invite social entrepreneurs, educators, and nonprofit organizations to join us for this testing phase.
Phase three will be to launch a fully operational network and invite the general public to participate thus rapidly expanding the number of operating sites.
We will work with social entrepreneurs around the country to develop educational and training materials to support the wide-spread growth of the concepts of social capitalism and social entrepreneurism.
