Build your own micro-organization website

ThePortalUSA.org will provide our volunteers and members with:

• Access to the most advanced internet micro-organization building system available.
• Connection to a large network of sister micro-organizations which support each other’s growth.
• This network will attract a large volume of internet traffic for our members to promote their social entrepreneurial and nonprofit endeavors, whatever they may be.
• Education and training needed to build and maintain a valuable micro-organization without the need for a large capital investment, debt accumulation, or technical knowledge. These materials will cover subjects including; Internet Business, Technology, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Fund Raising, and how to form and maintain nonprofit and business organizations.
• We will publish articles, manuals, books, videos, and provide seminars and workshops designed to teach and advance the subjects of Social Capitalism, Social Entrepreneurism, and Ethics.

Our organization will be built in three phases.

Phase one will be focused on the technical development and graphical design of the main portal site and a small network of preliminary interconnected sites. We have written a complete technical specification and have discussed its construction with scores of internet consultants, programmers, and designers. We decided in-favor of leveraging the well-known, open source content management system called Drupal. We estimate we will need six to nine months to develop a fully functional beta test site and network with approximately ten interconnected websites.

Phase two will be a 90 day period of intense testing, bug fixing, and feature adjustments with thirty to fifty volunteer managed sites. We will invite social entrepreneurs, educators, and nonprofit organizations to join us for this testing phase.

Phase three will be to launch a fully operational network and invite the general public to participate thus rapidly expanding the number of operating sites.

We will work with social entrepreneurs around the country to develop educational and training materials to support the wide-spread growth of the concepts of social capitalism and social entrepreneurism.
